In recent years, with the rapid development of information, Internet, networking and other technology, industrial control system, intelligent network and safety has become the focus of attention of the government and enterprises, industrial automation instrument is the key component of industrial control system. For a long time, the high-end products in this field have been dominated by foreign monopolies, holding the development level and security capacity of China's industrial control system.

Supported by the National 863 project, Shanghai Automation Instrumentation Co. Ltd and Zhejiang University cooperation in the development of self-control control system on chip (Control Module on Chip, referred to as: CMC) based with IEC61131-3 software development technology on the surrounding temperature, pressure, liquid level and electric actuator and other four categories of industry automation instrumentation, built intelligent instrument hardware and software development platform based on CMC, and solve the CMC based intelligent instrument of low power explosion-proof technology and advanced fault diagnosis technology, anti electromagnetic interference and EPA technology and MODBUS industrial network communication technology, improve the domestic intelligent instrument of integrated circuit products. The reliability and applicability, and enhance the performance and function of products.

The development and application of intelligent instruments and instruments for CMC's own core hardware and software have realized the localization of the core technology of intelligent instruments and meters, and promoted the capability and level of autonomous control of domestic instruments and meters. At present, the research group developed intelligent temperature, pressure, liquid level transmitter and intelligent electric actuator and other four major categories of industrial automation instrumentation products, has achieved the scale of engineering application in the process industry, and presents has wide application prospect in thermal power, petrochemical, chemical industry and environmental protection industry.
